Loopnote
Known Issues:
* Restart button at score window does not reset the game properly. Please go back to Main Menu instead. Sorry
* Sometimes (in longer game sessions) the playhead may desynchronize from the sound, generally this can be solved by restarting the current run by pressing R. If the issue persists, reload the page.
The score in the end of a run is fake, see more details at the on of the description below.
Loopnote
Heavily inspired by Mario Paint Composer (web clone here) and Bosca Ceoil. I tried to make it more game like instead of a tool or a sandbox game. But there were a lot of cool mechanics ideas that I didn't had the time to implement.
You have 6 instrument in total, but only two are available at a certain loop, and they change at each loop. Select an available instrument and mark it on a grid to be played next time the playhead cross it.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts to select instruments if they are available in the current loop. You can hover the buttons to have a reminder of that shortcut.
Instrument | Keyboard Shortcut |
Drums | D |
Cymbal | C |
Guitar | G |
Bass | B |
Piano | P |
Brass | S |
Unfortunately the current score at the end is fake. I was trying to implement some logic analyzing the composition at the final loop, but I was running out of time so I focused on solving bugs and improving the core game experience and thought it was better to have that mocked up version than nothing;
